Life: A Journey with Jesus

Ever hear your mother say, “it’s not too late to……...” you fill in the blank! Some things that come to mind are: to say thank you or to say I’m sorry! We’ll today I feel like I should say both of those to each of you.

First let me thank you for checking the blog! I have been negligent on keeping it updated, and today I have decided I will do a better job. I want the world to know what is happening here in Peru, and this is a wonderful tool available for me to do just that. So, thanks for looking us up, and do so again real soon, as I will be including snippets of our Life: A journey with Jesus!

Next I want to say I’m sorry for those who have been faithfully reading what we have shared and have gone without news since the last post in July. To receive the newsletter regularly, around the 15th of the month, please send me an email and I’ll add you to our mailing list jnorris3912@yahoo.com.

This week in our journey…We thank the Lord for the protection He has given us and the wisdom needed to travel to the city of Lima, out to Hope House in Jicamarca and to some of the sector churches by bus. This independence is something we looked forward to. It is also a great financial saver as taxis cost us 12 soles an hour and you can ride the bus for about 1.5 soles for the same distance. Yes there is more walking involved, but we are enjoying good health so that is not a concern. One recent bus trip left us in an unknown area at night. The bus driver told us it was the destination we had inquired about. NOT! But with confidence we walked on, silently recalling memorized scripture and praying for the Lord’s guidance until we saw the light – actually familiar landmarks in the night street lights! Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on thine own understanding.

More next week! Please pray for us!
